Yesterday was America's 237th Birthday :) Suri and I went out to spend some time with Grammy at Aunt Ashley's house for the first part of the day and then continued our second year of the tradition of going to the Festival at the Fountain in Fountain Hills. Last year it was only 91 degrees on the 4th of July and this year it was definitely hotter. The festival was fun and low key as usual. Suri enjoyed her first cotton candy and she wanted me to know how much she enjoyed it after each and every bite she took! She also enjoyed the bounce house, petting zoo and dancing with the live band. We took a walk around the Fountain and found a fun splash pad and playground that Suri enjoyed. She also loved seeing all the ducks that were following her around as she munched on her peanut butter and jelly sandwich :) It was a fun day and although we didn't go to an "official" firework display, we were fortunate enough to see some from our house before we went to bed. Maybe next year her endurance will be stronger and we will be able to press on past 9:30pm (while remaining pleasant :) in order to see a full show!
