Suri Meeting Family and Friends

After Suri was born, we returned to our room where we were greeted by family and friends who were anxiously awaiting to meet Suri for the first time. Everyone was in awe at how much hair she had as well as how tiny she was. We all concluded Suri looked just like her Daddy!

Shortly after Suri was born, her blood sugar began to drop and she was taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for a brief observation. ( Suri just wanted to visit the unit where Mommy worked!!  Thankfully I was able to remain calm while she was gone as I knew she was in good hands with the staff in the NICU). Zijah accompanied Suri to the NICU for a feeding of 22 calorie Neosure in hopes her blood sugar would rise. Both Zijah and Suri returned to our room within the hour with an "all clear".  Thankfully she was not officially "admitted" to the NICU.

The next few days were full of visitors after visitors of friends and co workers coming to see Suri. Even the staff commented on the inordinate amount of visitors we had non stop throughout our stay!!

We were discharged from the hospital on Saturday October 9th. Due to Suri's bilirubin levels being slightly elevated, we wanted to give Suri exposure to sunlight in hopes of stabilizing her levels.

Flowers from Grandpa

I thought this was the most beautiful Rose in the bunch of flowers that Tarja and Amalia brought. I had to take a picture of it for my little Suri Rose
