Today is a BEAUTIFUL day! Sunny and a high of 75 degrees (in February?!?) Suri has been wanting to go back to visit the zoo so this morning we decided to have a play date with her friend Madeleine at the zoo! Suri's Dad was able to meet us there also and I think the rest of Phoenix had the same idea. The Zoo was packed with families taking advantage of this amazing weather before the rain decides to come back mid week. We went to the Giraffe encounter fist thing as the line was already long and winding. Luckily, we only had to wait about 20 minutes before it was Suri's turn to feed the giraffes. One of the giraffes was Zuri and there was a new little baby there today named Amara! When the guide told us the baby's name, Suri and I both looked at each other with a surprised smile on our face as hearing the name Amara made us think of our Amara who passed away last summer :)
It was a beautiful day at the zoo and Suri had a lot of fun!
