Railroad Park and Wildflower

Suri decided to play catch up on all the sleep she has been missing out on lately (due to her waking up in the middle of the night every single night for the past few weeks... sigh...). She took a longer than average nap this afternoon... 4 hours to be exact which then called for the need to rearrange our plans of meeting her Dad at the pool at 3pm. We decided to meet at the Railroad park instead. Yes, I know, it was still 100 degrees at 4:30pm but we weren't the only crazies at the park!  There were actually quite a few families there and the train and carousel were running continuously which Suri loved. After riding the train a couple of times as well as the carousel (Suri rode on a moving horse the entire ride for the FIRST time today with her Dad). Normally, she and I have to sit in the carriage as she doesn't want anything to do with the carousel horses. But today was different. She had a great time and even wanted to go around again once the first ride was over. After spending some time at the park, we walked across the street to eat at Wildflower. Suri was all ready for some Macaroni and cheese but unfortunately we had to settle for buttered noodles as mac n cheese isn't on the menu... bummer. Suri didn't seem to mind too much as you can see, she gobbled up her noodles and fruit! She was happy to see her Daddy today and Mommy was happy that Suri got some much needed extra sleep. It was a fun afternoon and we are so ready for this summer heat to be over and for fall to arrive : )
