It is official. Suri is finally signed up for weekend Gymboree classes!! After attending The Little Gym (much too advanced for her at this stage of the game), My Gym (one of her favorites, she loved the swings), and musicology (an absolute disaster!), we decided on Gymboree. Suri seemed at ease here since day one and the staff is amazing with her. They are all super friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and Suri thinks her teacher Mr. Zach is pretty neat (which surprises me as he is a guy and lately Suri is somewhat hesitant around most men ). We will attend Gymboree for the next four Saturdays and then see what Suri would like to do next!
I must say Suri, you are pretty advanced compared to your classmates when it comes to climbing! You can go up and over hurdles before the other kiddos can figure out where the steps are! Finally, physical therapy is paying off!! You are getting stronger and more coordinated with each new day.
After Gymboree, we headed home so Suri could take her afternoon siesta. When Suri woke up a good 2.5 hours later, she and I headed over to Manuel's as I have been craving a good Mexican chimi! She and I had a nice lunch on the patio, Suri was fascinated with all the birds that surrounded us. A 16 month old in a high chair is a birds paradise! Suri thought it was so neat to see the birds swoop down to pick up a piece of whatever she dropped. It was a nice relaxing lunch on a gorgeous day.
After lunch, we headed to the grocery store (one of my very LEAST favorite things to do) then back home again to play outside. It was a nice Saturday that passed us by too quickly...
These are some pictures of Suri this morning. She was wearing the same clothes as the day before as she fell asleep by 6:30 last night and I didn't want to wake her to change her into her jammies.
When we eat breakfast, Suri asks for this photo frame of our family: Aunt Lindsay, Aunt Ashley, Mom, Dad and myself. Suri always points to everyone and looks at me to say their names. She always, always, always, points to Mom last. She doesn't know who she is. It brings tears to my eyes when I say that out loud... Suri doesn't know her Grandma Diane and I still have a hard time with this being reality...
