And a "happy" day it was indeed! Suri woke up as bright eyed and bushy tailed as she does every morning around 5:30am. There is no better way to start the day than with the giggles, coo's and smiles Suri has for me every morning. Today was Suri's 1st Easter ( along with many other 1st's today!)
Last evening, Suri, Grandpa and Great Grandma and I attended the Easter church service at CCV. We finished off the evening with some burgers and hot dogs at the CCV grill. Yum Delish! It is much easier for Suri and I to attend church on Saturday nights than it is to make it on Sunday mornings. We were happy to have Grandpa and Great Grandma join us. Suri looked so cute in her pink Easter dress (unfortunately mommy didn't bring the camera ).
This morning, Suri and I opened the gifts in her Easter Basket. The Easter Bunny sure was good to Suri this year and brought her lots of fun things. Books, toys, a swimming suit and bubbles. What more could a baby ask for!
After enjoying some breakfast and blowing some bubbles, Suri and I made our daily morning trip over to our new home. We still have so much stuff to move and we are running out of time! Moving day is this coming Thursday!! Our 4 hours were spent organizing, singing, going for a walk, sorting, eating, taking a nap (miss Suri), cleaning, more organizing, and more sorting... I was finally able to make Suir's new playroom look somewhat inviting : ) I think Suri is starting to feel more at home in the new house. She also finds the "echo" in the empty house quite humorous. She definitely enjoys exercising her vocal chords at various pitches. Every now and then she hits a high note and breaks out into a huge smile. This picture was Suri's first time in her new playroom : )

Once we finished up at the house, we met the rest of my family at Green Acres. This was Suri's first time visiting her Grandma Diane's grave site. I felt the need to visit my Mom this morning and wish her a Happy Easter and bring my daughter to meet her. My mom always loved Easter. The sound of her voice singing "Christ the Lord has Risen indeed... Alleluia" has been playing in my head since yesterday. She loved that song so much and sang the song so beautifully. Her grave site looked beautiful as my Dad, and Grandma visit regularly and keep it clean and decorated with flowers. My mom always bought Easter Lilly's every Easter and there on her grave was a basket of Easter Lilly's.
Suri and Jackson looked so cute as they sat near her grave. Suri is sitting unassisted for brief moments these days and she proved herself to everyone today as sat like a big girl as the camera's flashed.
Jackson was as happy as could be. He danced around the cemetery, touching the flowers and visiting the water fountain. As we were walking way from Mom's grave, she said " I love you MomMom, sweet dreams" his innocence was so admirable. And what better words to leave with " Sweet dreams Mom, we all love and miss you very much".

Suri and Jackson were spoiled (as always) by everyone this Easter. Their Easter Baskets were filled with goodies from Grandpa, Great Grandma, Uncle Justin, Aunt Lindsay, Cousin Jack and Aunt Ashley and Uncle Don. Even Tarja and Amalia came and spent some time with all of us. Amalia is growing so fast and is such a sweet little girl.

Suri decided to try out her new bathing suit and take a dip in the pool. A "dip" was the extent of it for her as the water was still a bit on the chilly side for her. She enjoyed splashing in the water and watching her cousin Jack swim in the spa. She looked super cute in her swimming suit and hat :)

Today was a beautiful day. Suri and I have been blessed with an amazing family and very dear friends as we remember the reason for the season...
Christ has risen, he has risen indeed!
Happy Easter!
