Mission Accomplished!

Mission accomplished...  in putting Suri to sleep tonight (key word = MISSION). We have had a bit of a disruption in our routine this week when it comes to sleep and nightly bedtime has become an actual Mission to accomplish!  Instead of sleeping in long stretches, she has been taking more like "cat naps" all day and all night paired with an extreme avoidance of sleep of any kind unless she is being help. I want to blame it on teething but I am beginning to wonder if Suri may have another dreadful ear infection. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the answer will be "no" but she has been holding her left ear on and off for the past 3 days. That topped with restless nights, fussy days, zero appetite and a twinge of a fever, in the past has meant ear infection... I plan to call the doctor tomorrow to make an appointment. I don't want to overlook something that may be the source of her restlessness.

This week has been a busy one for Suri and I. We are continuing physical therapy throughout the week which is always a workout for Suri : ) She is doing great though and is getting stronger and more coordinated with each session. Suir is officially on the move!  She loves to explore. Her "exploring" paired with "lack of sleep" leads to IMPAIRED CRAWLER. Seriously, she seems impaired. Lack of good judgement leads to bumps and crashes here and there. Luckily, she has yet to fall off the bed (however she has come close a couple of times)!

toughening up the knees : )

Her new "trick" (which has proven to land her in a face plant right on the floor... whoops)

On Friday night, we had Wendy, Sydney, Sophia, Jessica, Cassie and Eli over for dinner. Suri and Eli haven't seen each other since Eli was only a couple of weeks old. Time has definitely slipped away from us but it was great to get together and have a "girls" night. Eli didn't seem to mind.

Suri is contemplating how she is going to get a handful of Eli's hair...

There she goes, in for the curls :)

All of our babies : (  (yes, Sydney, you will always be our little baby even though you are all grown up!)

Tonight, Heidi, Josh and their newest addition, Max came for a visit! Ive gotta hand it to them, they have this "parenting" thing down to a science! Change, feed, burp, snuggle... change, feed,  burp, snuggle.... repeat, repeat, repeat. They are so cute to watch as they are a true "team" when it comes to the lil man. Max is a lucky boy and has 2 FaBuLoUs parents : )  Not to mention the fact that they are all out and about just a few short weeks after his grand debut!

Now that Suri is crawling, she spends a lot of time on the same level as the pooches. She absolutely adores Rugger and loves to crawl all over him. Not so sure what Rugger would have to say about Suri if he could actually speak, but for now, if he has had enough of her, he gets up and goes to lay somewhere away from her. Sadly, Rugger is going to go to a new home soon. I am not going to go into detail on the blog however it is something that is the best for our family right now. I will sure miss this boy. He is a sweet boy who will always hold a place in my heart. Luckily, he will be going to a home that is here in Phoenix and we will remain in contact. Hopefully Ruggs will even be able to come and visit on occasion.

"get this ridiculous thing off my head"!!!

This week, Suri has found  a new baby doll that she is adorable with. She holds it and pats its back. She is quite the little mommy and even offers the doll her paci, so cute to watch. It is amazing how much children understand and the communication they have through play. Suri still enjoys her swing and loves to be outdoors. I cant not WAIT until this weather cools down so we can spend lots of time outside!

I must say, the weekend went to fast and I am having a hard time coming to terms with Monday. I sure hope Suri gets back on track and has some restful nights here very soon, otherwise, my hair may be grey by Friday...
