Tonight was a special night for our Child Life Department as we gathered here at our home for a farewell dinner for Dominica. Nika was one of the first Child Life Specialists I hired 4 years ago... she has accepted a position at Southwest Human Development and tomorrow will be her last day as a Child Life Specialist at Scottsdale Healthcare.
Suri loved having "friends" come over for dinner, it was a nice treat after an exhausting physical therapy session! It was fun to have all the Specialists over along with our good friend Tina and her daughter Emily. We ate Spinatos pizza until we were stuffed and then topped it off with a yummy cupcake! We will all miss Nika dearly hopefully she will come back and visit regularly : )
Suri loved one of Nika's going away gifts, a dancing Monkey that has brought the Child Life Department many laughs over the past few months. Suri liked to dance to the song it played while it boogied : )

I was holding the monkey to get Suri to look at the camera, he kind of got in the way of my flash, hence the shadows on a couple of the photos...

Suri was too tired to stay up for the gifts so I snuggled her into bed before coming back to grab a few snapshots of Nika opening her farewell gifts...
