The weather in MA was less than cooperative for our short visit there. We were blessed with mostly rain and soggy leaves which made for very few photos as it is not too much fun to sit a crawler down in a pile of leaves, no matter how beautiful they are! We did escape to Eastham/ Cape Cod for a couple of nights and escaped the rain only to enter the wind!! Although the weather was less than ideal, I must admit it actually felt like fall unlike it does here in AZ with 90 - 100 degree weather mid October! The cool breeze was a welcomed change and I was able to get some photos when I could.

One of the days, we attempted to go to the apple orchard as it was apple picking season! I was really looking forward to being able to pick some apples with Suri however when we arrived at the farm, there was not a soul other than ourselves as it was raining outside. We made the best out of our visit by standing near the pumpkin farm and taking a few pictures. Suri was loving the wind and the rain as well as trying to walk through a soggy pumpkin patch in order to find a pumpkin we could hold. She was belly laughing, it was so cute!

On the way home from the Farm, Suri had a moment of giggles!
The next day, we attempted to go to breakfast/ brunch at The Hole in One on the Cape however by the time we were called to sit down, Suri decided she had had enough and she began to tell the whole restaurant about it! She was definitely tired and we ended up getting our food to go and went for a drive while Suri took a nap!

After Suri's little siesta, she awoke to find herslef at the beach for the first time! Oh how I would love to go to sleep and wake up and be at the beach! Ahhh, the life of a one year old! I wish I would have had the video camera on Suri when she saw the ocean for the first time. Her expression was priceless. She absolutely lit up with smiles. She was loving the salty breeze (wind!) and eagerly wanted to touch the sand!

On the way home from the beach, she was all smiles!
On Saturday, we attempted the Annual Oyster Fest on Cape Cod... along with everyone else and their brother!! This event truly draws a crowd!!
Suri enjoyed dreaming about oysters as she slept pretty much the whole time while being carried in the front pack and pushed in the stroller... again, to have the life of a one year old!

After a long day at the Oyster Fest, the time had come to get packed up to head home. Once we arrived back to Jen's mothers house, we cooked on the grill and had a relaxing evening at home. Jen's mom found a rocking chair in the basement that was just Suri's size. She loved it!

I am so thankful 2 of my very good friends were able to meet and spend some time with Suri. Hopefully we will all be able to get together again before Suri gets too much older- only next time, you guys have to come to Arizona!
