Happy Halloween friends! Tonight, Suri celebrated her 2nd official Halloween! This year, she was a butterfly and cousin Jackson was a Fireman. Together they were full of smiles and ready to Trick or Treat!
Rewinding a couple of hours to when I picked Suri up from daycare this afternoon... last night, we were up a good chunk of the night due to Suri's nasty cough that would not let her settle into a slumber... While holding her upright in the rocking chair from 1:30 to 4:30 am, I could feel every breath she took. Her breathing was faster than normal and her entire body flinched with every cough. Although she is on antibiotics, I had a feeling we might be on the verge of pneumonia.
After a short day at daycare and here a cough there a cough when I picked her up, a jingle to the pediatricians office I made... with it being Halloween, their schedule had lots of availability and we were able to get right in. Sure enough, the doctor took one listen to her chest and felt as though Suri more than likely has a right lower lobe pneumonia. Man oh man... we didn't need to dress up for Halloween- Suri could just be a sick patient!!! We are trying Amoxicillian once again to see if Suri is able to tolerate it any better than she did when she was a few months old. All fingers and toes crossed that this medicine works for her and that she will be on the road to feeling good in no time! Suri had her first does of her new medicine to kick off a low key night of trick or treating.
Back to Halloween... we went out to Grandpa's house to be with cousin Jackson, Aunt Lindsay, Great Grandma, and Grandpa. Auntie Ashley even stopped by on her way home to see the little ones in costume.
Suri ate dinner and took a bath prior to getting dressed in her butterfly costume... all in preparation for the fun night to come (knowing, that at the end of it all, Suri was going to be plum tuckered out).
