Christmas Day 2011
Suri and I (and the pups) had a sleepover at Grandpa's house on Christmas Eve so we could all be together Christmas morning. Grandpa and I woke up before the kids did on Christmas morning. The house was quiet and gathered at the base of the Christmas Tree were the gifts Santa had brought for Suri and Jackson. When Jackson woke up, he was so excited to see that Santa came. He eagerly grabbed a puck from his new AIR HOCKEY table and was engaged in a game of air hockey! Suri slept in and didn't wake up until a bit after 8am! (why doesn't she do this on my days off from work! ha).
When she woke up, it was so much fun to watch her excitement as she eagerly played with her new toys! I still can't believe how much she has grown. Last year, she fit into her pink stocking (pictured below). She was so tiny and now she is such a sweet girl who is growing up so quickly. I couldn't help but let my mind wander to thought of how much older and more mature she will be next Christmas....

These next few photos are of a gift Great Grandma got for Suri and Jackson. She got each of the kids a Solari bell and wrote them a card telling them that whenever they hear the bell ring, it is to remind them of how much Grandma loves them...
this was MY most favorite gift of Christmas...

Suri and Grandpa
Later in the afternoon, we all went down to Green Acres to visit my Mom. The pain of not having her with us is still as great today as is was last Christmas. I wish so deeply that she could be with us to see Jack and Suri grow. She loved Christmas and would have loved to see the kids all dressed up and laughing together. It was a beautiful day to sit at her grave site. The cemetery was festive with all the holiday flowers and Suri was now able to walk up and down the rows on her own. Unfortunately I did not bring my camera and will have to wait to plug in pictures that Aunt Ashley took with her camera. We miss you Mom and hope your Christmas in Heaven was beautiful.
Happy Birtday Jesus and Merry Christmas to all our family and friends!
