Our new home

Life as we know it has been pretty hectic lately. We recently said good by to Suri's only home that she had ever known and moved to Scottsdale into a home with a BACKYARD!!!  Hooray!!!  We finally have a back yard and hopefully Suri will enjoy spending time playing outdoors.  The pups are thanking me right now as they enjoy their extra space. The back yard of this home leaves much to be desired as it is large but mainly rock and fruit trees. I would like to put grass in the yard to give Suri and the dogs a place to play. Grandpa came over and hung Suri's swing on our patio. She was a bit aprehensive at first but now that we have spent some time in it every day, she is enjoying it. As for now, the house is beginning to feel more and more like home every day. Suri LOVES her new playroom and now that she has decided it's a bit fun to to be more mobile, she is enjoying her extra playspace. The best part about our new home is that it is 2.2 miles from my work! I can not even put into words how nice it is to have so much extra time in the morning and to have a non stressful commute. I may hit one stoplight on my way to and from work which I would take any day over sitting in traffic for 30 to 45 minutes each way. Our new home is turning out to be a perfect fit for us.

Speaking of becoming more "mobile" Suri remains a bit behind in reaching her developmental milestones ( she is acting more of her gestational age than her chronological age which was to be expected I guess) ... basically Suri is content doing just about NOTHING but laying on her back and kicking her feet! (wink)  She is being a little stinker when it comes to rolling over. She initially rolled over when she was about 4 months or so however a couple of times of that and she decided she liked hanging out on her back much better than getting stuck on her tummy... we have been diligent about engaging in her physical therapy exercises and are finally beginning to see some results. Suri is now sitting un assisted for brief periods of time, she is able to roll from her back to her tummy and from her tummy to her back WHEN and IF she WANTS to : )

One thing Suri has down pat is EATING. This baby LOVES her food. She is one determined eater and gets extremely excited when she sees me preparing her baby food. Even her teachers at daycare comment on what a good eater Suri is. She is also a very neat eater... definitely mommas girl : )  "napkin please" ...

These are some of the pictures we have taken this past week in our new home. Once we get a bit more organized, I will post photos of our home.

Yay! Suri is sitting all by herself!

Playing on her surf board tummy mat

All done with the hard stuff... relaxing on her BACK!!!

Suri Loves Loves Loves her baths! She especially enjoys them now that she can sit up in her bath seat
