This afternoon Suri and I headed back to our old neighborhood! Brennan was having his first birthday party and he lives just around the corner from our old house. When Suri and I left our house, Suri was wearing her cupcake shirt and pink tutu, her hair had a cute little bow in it and she was wearing her new shoes. When we arrived at Brennan's, her hair was a mess (she pulled out her pony and her bow), her shoes were on the floorboard of the truck and she had spit up on her shirt (the transition to whole milk isn't agreeing with her : ( !! So... after re attempting to look presentable we grabbed his gift and headed in to the party : )
Happy 1st Birthday Brennan!! Turtles were everywhere and balloons were hanging from the ceiling. Such a cute theme and the birthday boy was as adorable as could be!
Suri loved pizza and cake and over stimulation set in quite quickly as Brennan had lots of friends at his party! Suri doesn't realize she is no longer a "light" load. My arms and back have been challenged lately as all Suri wants lately, is to be carried. She eventually made her way to the floor to play with some toys and explore the light sockets (her new fascination...rrgh). Suri had a good time and eventually warmed up to the birthday environment.

After the party, we no longer made it a mile from Brennan's house when she was asleep in her car seat! Birthday parties are hard work... but we were thankful to be a part of Brennan's special day!
