Mid week cabin visit

Suri, Grammy, Amara, Tecoah and I just got back from spending a couple of days at the cabin. We headed out of town on Tuesday evening after work and returned this afternoon, not able to stay for the weekend due to Suri's swimming lessons and Grammy's hair appointment on Friday. Grandpa is still away in Alaska and he had asked us to go up and tend to the yard as it was well overdue for a good watering. It was nice to get away during the week, it gave Suri a much needed break from daycare as well as the dogs some time out of the heat. It is tough to be pups in the summer time, not much to do but lay around and pant in a desperate attempt to keep cool as the temperature continues to soar...

Suri's crazy hair

"Cheeze"

Still clasps her hands just like she did when she was a baby : )

Suri and Amara

While I was watering the trees, Suri thought it would be fun to run through the sprinkler. I think she was a bit shocked to see how COLD the water in the sprinkler was! definitely not nice and warm like at home. She played in the cold water for a little while, got thoroughly soaked, and then wanted no part of her wet, soggy and cold clothes!

Woops, took a tumble

Wet and freezing!

Not a fan of dirty hands...

This photo makes me laugh : )

Definitely cold, and not happy about it....

All dressed in warm dry clothes and eating a cookie : )

Chocolate chip cookies make everything better : )

Life is good : )

  1. She is growing up so fast, my goodness!! What a pretty little girl she is. I wonder what things will carry on with Max throughout the years, like Suri clasping her hands. So sweet.

PS- you're right: chocolate chip cookies DO make everything better :)
