United Nations Day Parade and Halloween 2013

Today was an eventful day for Suri and I. It all began this morning when Suri needed to dress in her outfit that represented Scotland for her United Nations Day Celebration at Little Friends Montessori. The kids have been learning about the world and about different countries the past few weeks and Suri was chosen to represent Scotland. She looked absolutely adorable in her outfit and it melted my heart to watch her march in her parade singing Its a Small World... I sure wish I would have had my video camera as all the kids were so darn cute, marching, singing, cutting each other off in the line etc. Miss Mary had their classroom decorated for the festivities of today. United Nations and Halloween!  It was quite the set up in her tiny classroom and Suri had a fabulous day at school!
( I have to mention, that Suri is still the youngest in her class and by looking at her with her classmates, you would never know it!)


This morning, Suri kelt asking me to take her picture with this little scarecrow girl... I couldn't resist!  She looked so darn cute and she NEVER asks me to take her picture!!

After school, Suri and I drove to Desert Ridge to Trick or Treat with her friends Madeleine and Braydn. We all met at Madeleine's house again this year and Braydn brought another little friend along, Aiden. All of the kids ate pizza and fruit for dinner in preparation for the night of candy ahead. It was fun to see them all enjoying the holiday so much. It is so fun to watch Suri push through her fear and hesitation of characters in scary costumes and give them a high five. You can see the sense of relief after she braves the encounter as she relaxes and smiles from ear to ear.

(Not only is Suri the youngest in her class, but she was the youngest of all the kids here tonight buy about 6 months! Again, you would never know it!)

Suri got to wear a costume to school yesterday and instead of wearing her witch costume, she chose an Ariel costume we had here at home. Unfortunately we didn't have the Red Wig so of course the search began for an Ariel wig at 6:30 pm the night before Halloween.  After 2 strikes, we had one additional store that would hopefully have an Ariel Wig. When we arrived, they had ONE wig left - SOLD and Ariel was complete :)

It was a fun Halloween Night and Suri was very pleased with all of her Halloween loot!
