Red Rock Festival of the Trees

Last night, Suri and I went with our friends Stacy and Sarina up to Sedona to see the festival of the lights that takes place in Sedona each year. Stacy and I used to go every year when we were in college at NAU and remember the weather being painfully cold while we were there. Luckily this year, the weather was absolutely beautiful and the kids were able to enjoy the evening without being too cold to move!! Suri's Dad met us in Sedona and joined us for the festival of lights.

When we arrived we went to El Rincon for dinner. The restaurant was extremely slow and our wait was an hour and a half long. It gave us time to shop!!  I took Suri into a Christmas ornament shop and she chose her 2012 ornament. A Carousel Horse!!!  It couldn't have been more fitting for Suri this year, she absolutely loves the carousel now.

Sarina and Suri had fun seeing the light displays and of course chatting with Santa Clause!  Suri was memorized with Santa ( from a distance) she wasn't all that fond of him close up but she still braved a photo as long as I was with her. She ended her visit with him with a high five and knuckles and she was pretty proud of her self for visiting with him.

It was a perfect evening with perfect friends. Thanks Stacy and Sarina for a fun night!!  We need to plan on going again next year.

Suri was fascinated with this horse. I was fascinated at how absolutely gorgeous the scenery was  with all the colorful fall leaves. Sedona was beautiful!

She wasnt too sure of him but when he asked her what she would like for Christmas, she  quietly answered "a shopping cart"!  Thats my girl!!!!

Santa told Sarina, "he likes to have cookies and milk"
