Merry Christmas Everyone! Suri and I woke up ( and actually got up ) at 10am. She was super smiley and happy. Grandpa had gone to Aunt Lindsay's house to catch Jackson's expressions when he first saw what Santa had brought for him. Great Grandma was still sleeping... so all was quiet in the house. Suri and I went in by the Christmas tree and I sat her next to a Santa pillow to take some Christmas Morning pictures. She was cooing and smiling the whole time. She also liked to look at and listen to the singing Christmas dog and reindeer (it sings
Grandma got run over by a reindeer). This singing duo has been around our house for many years and all the kids love to push their button and watch them sing. It was neat to see Suri's expressions as she looked at them.

Later in the day, everyone returned to Grandpa's so we were all together for Christmas Day. Aunt Lindsay brought her famous Christmas sugar cookies that are not only adorable and festive but super tasty as well! Grandpa worked the good part of the morning to put Jackson's new train set together. Once he got it to work, we all decided it was a bit too old for Jackson as it is pretty fragile. We all know Jackson doesn't do well with items labeled FRAGILE! ha

Notice Grandpa's head lamp, laying on the floor next to him... too bad he wasn't wearing it (wink)

All the grown-ups gathered around the train... where is Jackson... in the corner, playing with a box!

Almost too cute to eat... key word- ALMOST
All of us gathered in the living room to open the gifts in our stockings. Suri sat in her rocking chair and watched us. She got more Baby's 1st Christmas ornaments from Great Grandma, a cute little outfit from Aunt Ashley and Uncle Don, some adorable sockies from Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Justin and Jackson, and a Target gift card from Grandpa. Stockings are always fun. In the past, Mom always found funny ornaments and items to put in our stockings. She just cracked herself up laughing at all of us as we opened the things she had chosen for us. I sure did miss her this year but kept telling myself she is having her Christmas with Jesus and there is nothing she would rather be doing.

Christmas seemed to come and go so quickly this year. Seems like we just put up all the decorations and now it is time to take them down and prepare for the New Year. Suri and I had a wonderful Christmas thanks to family, friends and our faith. I am so thankful to have been blessed with such a perfect baby girl and there is nothing better than the gift of family.
Merry Christmas!
